Maria Dahl Nielsen and Åsne Fulsås Storli are architects educated at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design. Their joint diploma project, “The Measure of a School – From Typological Inquiry to Spatial Concepts for Inclusive Learning”, explores how the rehabilitation and transformation of existing school buildings can create better learning environments and stronger communities. Based on Stridsklev Primary School in Porsgrunn, the project combines studies of school typologies, pedagogical development and architectural history with concrete proposals for adapting the existing building. It received the Arkitektbedriftene Professional Practice Award at the 2026 AHO Awards.

Maria Nielsen and Åsne Storli will present the project and participate in the jury review at Save The Buildings Agora on 22 September.
