Lecture

OFFICE KGDVS — Kersten Geers

Meet Kersten Geers as part of OAF’s What if? lecture series.

How can architecture respond to the challenges of the future, and what new questions should we be asking?

On 24 September, Oslo Association of Architects invites you to a lecture with Kersten Geers from OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen.

The lecture is part of OAF’s international What if? series, in which five architecture practices are invited to formulate future scenarios for architecture based on their own work and perspectives. The series enters into dialogue with the theme of the Oslo Architecture Triennale, What if nature comes first?

OFFICE was founded by Kersten Geers and David Van Severen in Brussels in 2002. In the practice’s work, questions of sustainability, resource use and future use are approached as starting points for shaping architecture and our urban and social environments.

“We belong to a generation of architects who believe that if architecture has the desire to survive, then it needs to be obsessively busy with itself. This is an almost egoistical obsession. However, an architecture that is busy with itself is not one that ignores the world it inhabits.”

— Kersten Geers

The event is highlighted as part of the wider programme surrounding the Oslo Architecture Triennale 2026.
