Workshop

What if nature comes first in the spaces we live in: Light

The first workshop in a three-part workshop series on how nature can set the premises for interior architecture

About the workshop:

Nature is important to humans. Humans are nature. But what happens when nature is absent from the spaces we live in – and can interior design choices both strengthen our connection to nature and benefit nature itself?

Through three workshops, we explore three different spaces through the themes of light, sound and air. The spaces represent the past, present and future, and we ask:

- How does this space affect you?

- Where is nature in this space?

- Can we understand where the materials come from?

The workshop series is limited to a maximum of 20 participants from different parts of the interior architecture value chain. Ideally, around half of the participants will take part in all three workshops, 18, 23 og 29. september.

The series will result in a set of principles and dilemmas that will be carried forward to the Oslo Architecture Triennale’s closing conference.

Contributors:

Beata Brzoza, a specialist in biophilic design, will take part throughout the series. The workshop on light will also feature Kristin Bredal from Zenisk, who brings expertise in lighting design and in how light shapes our experience of space.
