Start the day in the church pews!
In our regular programme fixture «Today's preachment» (the in-depth weekend version of «Today's sermon») we invite dedicated professionals up on the pulpit to present a challenge within the 2026 Triennale's title question – "What if Nature Comes First?" – and a solution. Drop by the Sofienberg Church in the weekend for church coffee and a short lecture.
This Sunday we meet Line Oma, who is General Secretary in the Norwegian Association of Landscape Architects (NLA). In the preachment "A Green Gospel: Landscape Architecture Against the Flood" she will talk about the role of the landscape architect in the climate and nature crises. Consumption of nature is the foundation of our wealth, and as the wealth has no limits, neither has the consumption of nature. We need a newer testament – a green gospel, says Oma. Nature, as the foundation for our existense and our basis of life, must come first. Landscape architecture has an important role in this shift and a potential to solve the nature and climate crises – and stop the flooding.
Line Oma is General Secretary in the Norwegian Association of Landscape Architects (NLA). She has been a full time poltician in the urban development committee in the Oslo Ciity Council, and is passionate for nature – as the very foundation of our existense – to come first. As General Secretary in NLA, her mission is to show how landscape architects can contribute to a sustainable development of our society.
The coffee is ready from 12 PM. Today's preachment starts at 12:15.
