Ettore Scola's poignant "A Special Day", "Una Giornata Particolare"(IT) takes us to an apartment building in Rome. While everyone else in the neighborhood has gone off to celebrate Hitler's arrival, an unexpected friendship is forged when two ostracized neighbors find themselves together. What happens when the abandoned building finally makes room for the people who are usually sidelined? How can one support each other in the face of seemingly unstoppable fascism?
