Collective Oaza is an art and design practice based in Zagreb founded by six partners in 2013 that design, research, curate, direct and edit content for visual identities, books, campaigns, exhibitions and digital media. Next to commissions and collaborations they engage in investigation of topics that reflect their general approach to design as a political and social discipline directed towards critical questioning of the everyday, mainly through series of self-initiated total design projects. Ongoing explorations tackle notions of alternative models of production and natural resources as founders of Made In network, independent publishing with self-run Oaza Books house and feminist design history via Designers 1930 — 1980: Context, Production, Influences project. Oaza members are active in the fields of formal and informal design education.
